Obituary for David Philibin

Austintown- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Thursday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for David L. Philibin of Edgehill Ave. who died Sunday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Dave was born Sept. 20, 1919 in Youngstown and was the son of the late Edward and Rose Philibin.

He had owned and operated Dave (TM)s Sohio from 1955-1984 on Youngstown

?(TM)s Northside and had also worked for Donnell Ford as a mechanic. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown and had served in the Army during WWII. He also belonged to the American Legion Post in Columbiana and the WWII Heritage Group.
Dave is survived by his wife the former Helen Clark whom he married Sept. 20, 1944. He also leaves two daughters, Donna (Dick) Wear of Austintown, Beth (Joel) Hoffman of North Ohmsted, OH and a son David (Marion) Philibin of Austintown. He also leaves a sister Mary McCloud of North Lima and a brother Bert Philibin of Boardman, 8 grandchildren, David and Ryan Philibin, Greg and Stacie Lipka, Lisa Wear, Holly Butts, Krista and Clark Hoffman and two great grandchildren, Paityn Philibin and Kaison Lipka. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin daughters Evelyn and Elaine and six brothers, Jack, Eddie, Tom, Henry, Don and Ralph Philibin.
Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel from 5-8 PM Wednesday.
