Obituary for Wilda Greier
WILDA MAY GREIER DAYTON - Wilda May Greier, 87, passed away Jan. 13, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. She was born on Aug. 21, 1929, in Youngstown, daughter to the late Reginald Hobson and Dorothy (Tribley) Gorsuch. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was a 1947 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked several years for Truss-Con in Youngstown.
She married Richard Greier on Sept. 21, 1951, and they celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing in 1999. She is survived by her only child, Donald (Deborah) Greier of Dayton; her grandchildren, Melissa Greier of Kettering and Neil Greier of Dayton; her great-grandchild, Aayden Morrissey of Dayton; and her sister, Evelyn Lightbody of Austintown.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edwin Gorsuch and Gerold Gorsuch; and her grandchild, Olivia Greier. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 11 a.m. to noon, with a memorial service to follow at noon at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave. A private inurnment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
