Charles G. Herman
YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Charles G. Herman, 69, who passed away Saturday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Chuck was born Oct. 24, 1940, in Youngstown, the son of Charles H. and Amy I. (Sigle) Herman.
He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, class of 1960, and worked as a tool crib attendant at the Chrysler Twinsburg Stamping Plant. Chuck was a member of the Wickliffe Christian Church, the UAW Local No. 122, the Handel Bar Dart League, Big D’s Dart League, and the Video Bowling League. Chuck enjoyed roller skating, and was involved with the Cub and Boy Scouts for several years.
He leaves his wife, the former Christine Honse, whom he married Sept. 18, 1993; two stepsons, Eric Knight of Warren and Ryan Knight of Columbus; one sister, Gayle Byers of Austintown; and one brother, Donny (Cathy) Herman of Highland Park, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home
