Obituary for Lucy Molinaro

Lucy Molinaro YOUNGSTOWN – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 2 p.m. at St. Charles Church in Boardman for Lucy Molinaro, 89, who passed away late Saturday, March 27, 2010. with her loving family by her side. Lucy will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. She was born Dec. 16, 1920, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Mariena) Calabria, and was a lifelong area resident. Lucy was a homemaker, employed at McKenzie Muffler during the war and retired from the housekeeping department at St. Elizabeth Health Center. She was a member of St. Charles Church and the Royal Club. Lucy enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, listening to music and dancing, but she especially loved to spend time with her family. Her husband, Dominic Molinaro, whom she married July 8, 1943, died July 27, 1990. She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories her four daughters, Shirley Statler of Austintown, Jeanette Pizzuto and Patricia Alexander, both of Youngstown and Joan (Ron) Deak of Austintown; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Viola (Al) Massie. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane Mayle; five brothers; and four sisters. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. in Boardman, and on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, from 1 to 1:50 p.m. at St. Charles Church in Boardman. Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield. Lucy’s family would like to express sincere thanks to Austinwoods Nursing Home and the Hospice House along with their entire staffs for the loving and compassionate care shown to Lucy during her illness. “Mom you are our Angel and will be greatly missed by all. You are our Hero.”
