YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel for Mary Ann Colantone, 87, who passed away Thursday afternoon at Forum Health Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.
She was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Struthers, a daughter of Charles and Philomina (Pacifico) Zillo, and she resided in this area all of her life.
She worked for several years as a seamstress for DiSone Dry Cleaners. She spent the majority of her adult life as a homemaker, and she loved to cook for her grandchildren. She was of the Roman Catholic faith and was a member of St. Christine’s Church in Youngstown.
She married Andrew H. Colantone on Aug. 31, 1946, and he preceded her in death Dec. 16, 2006.
She is survived by three sons, Andrew H. Colantone Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., Charles C. (Barbara) Colantone of Canfield, and Craig (Linda) Colantone of Austintown. She also leaves behind two sisters, Carmel Butch of Youngstown and Josephine Rich of Boardman; four grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Shaw, Nicole (Brian) Pughe, Charlie Colantone, and Jaclyn Colantone; and two great-grandsons, Chas Colantone and Nicholas Pughe.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jimmy and Mike Zillo; and two sisters, Jennie Jackentell and Theresa Polito.
