Obituary for Elizabeth A Blazer

Elizabeth A. Blazer CANFIELD - A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Christine’s Roman Catholic Church in Youngstown for Elizabeth A. Blazer, 65, who died late Friday night at The Cleveland Clinic. She was born Dec. 25, 1944, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Walter and Frances (Grabowski) Siwula, and she came to the Youngstown area several years ago. She was a 1962 graduate of Turtle Creek High School in Pittsburgh, and she received an Associate Degree in Horticulture from Robert Morris University. She spent her adult life as a homemaker, and she volunteered for many years with Mill Creek Metro Parks and Fellows Riverside Gardens. Elizabeth was a loving wife and a kind and gentle lady, and she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of almost 43 years, Robert W. Blazer, whom she married June 17, 1967. She also leaves behind a brother, Michael (Nancy) Siwula of Valencia, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Leukemia Foundation.
