Obituary for Dorothy M Philibin

Dorothy M. Philibin “Together Again” BOARDMAN — There will be prayers at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Saint Charles Church, celebrated by Father Philip Rogers, for Dorothy M. Philibin, 92, who passed away Wednesday morning at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Philibin was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Anna Mullin Bertin and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of The Rayen School and was a member of Saint Charles Church. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her husband, John Patrick Philibin, whom she married Dec. 23, 1942, passed away Jan. 28, of this year. She leaves a daughter, Mary Ann (Richard) Dieter of Canfield; two sons, Edward (Brenda) Philibin of Las Vegas and John “Jack” (Donna) Philibin of Boardman; eight grandchildren, William (Katie) Dieter, Susan Dieter, Jeff (Laurie) Dieter, Nichole Salopek, Patrick (Amy) Philibin, John (Kylee) Philibin, Christina (Jim) Newton and Michael Philibin; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Noah, Anna, Ella and Nicholas. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Boyd and a brother, Joseph Bertin. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home
