Obituary for Leila J Kenneally

Leila 'Lee' J. Kenneally BOARDMAN – There will be funeral services on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. in Boardman for Leila J. Kenneally, 76, who died fighting a courageous four year battle of melanoma Thursday evening, Sept. 9, 2010, at her residence. Leila, known as “Lee,” was born Dec. 22, 1933. in Indiana, Pa., the daughter of Carlyle and Ethel Mae Forman Walker and moved to the Youngstown area in 1960. Lee was a registered nurse for over 20 years working in ophthalmology and later worked for Dr. Adrian Ieraci, in Boardman for eight years. She thoroughly enjoyed working with Dr. Ieraci and staff. She always looked forward to football season, to cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. She was a loving grandma that adored spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Vincent F. Kenneally, whom she married on June 24, 1960, died Nov. 26, 2002. Lee is survived by her mother, Ethel Guard of Indiana, Pa.; two sisters, Barbara A. (Mike) Capozzoli of Pittsburgh and Nancy L. Walker of Indiana, Pa.; three children, Michael A. (Renee) Kenneally of Boardman, Jackie A. (Mark) Sykes of Charlotte, N.C. and Kevin W. (Jennifer) Kenneally of Lebanon, Ohio; six grandchildren, Sarah Sykes, Jillian Sykes, Connor Kenneally, Evan Kenneally, Rachel Kenneally, and Shea Kenneally, Friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Boardman.
