Thelma P. Criss
NILES – Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Thelma P. Criss, 94, formerly of Youngstown, who passed away Friday morning at Autumn Hills.
Thelma was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Salem, a daughter of the late Fred and Elva (Whiteleather) Porter.
She retired from Packard Electric after 25 years. She was a member of the Disciples Christian Church in Boardman. Thelma was an avid card player and loved going to horse races. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Boyes of Niles; a sister, Marie Hamilton of North Jackson; a brother, Fred Porter of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a granddaughter, Linda (William) Spier of Minerva; two grandsons, her caregiver, Raymond Diana Jr. of Niles and Kenneth Reeder Jr. of Youngstown; a great-grandson, Alex; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Reeder; and a sister, Virginia Freed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, OH 44512, in Thelma’s name.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, prior to the funeral services.
