Janet H. 'Betty' Morelli
STRUTHERS – Janet H. “Betty” Morelli, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at Pembrooke Place.
Mrs. Morelli was born April 22, 1925, in Sebring, a daughter of John and Margaret Blythe McIlquham.
She was a 1943 graduate of Sebring High School and was a homemaker. Her passions included bowling, reading and writing poetry.
She leaves her husband, John Morelli, whom she married Dec. 6, 1947; her two daughters, Margaret (Alan) Cox of Pittsburgh and Janet Morelli of Struthers; two sons, Raymond Morelli of Meadville, Pa. and John (Linda) Morelli of Austintown; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Sean) Griewahn of Delta and Shawn (Megan) Gettan of Canton; six great-grandchildren, Susan, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Mathew, EJ and Alex; and one great-great-grandchild, Zane.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Needham and Ellen Holzer; two brothers, Andrew and her twin brother. Bill McIlquham.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where family and friends will be received Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Morelli’s name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
