Obituary for Mary E Lowery

POLAND - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Holy Family Church for Mary E. Lowery, 93, who died Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Mary was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Lowellville, to Joseph and Anna (Strange) Cicciarello.

She graduated from Lowellville High School in 1939 and worked for Greyhound Lines as a ticket agent for 32 years until her retirement in 1975.

Mary was a member of the Holy Family Church, AARP, and a former charter member of Fonderlac Country Club.

She was an avid bowler and golfer, and volunteered at Northside Hospital for many years.

Mary’s husband, Thomas A. Lowery, whom she married Oct. 18, 1947, died July 15, 2001.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Morocco and Rose Semko; and her brother, Frank Cicciarello.

Entombment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
