Obituary for Thomas "mike" Batson
THOMAS M. ''MIKE'' BATSON
STRUTHERS – Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Thomas M. “Mike” Batson, 47.
Mike was born March 19, 1963, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of Thomas and Janet (Beckett) Butler. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Johnny Giovanni Jr.
Mike was a dedicated and hard working man and a loving father.
Mike was employed as a press operator at RMI Titanium in Niles, was an avid pool shooter and former member of a Busch League, where he won many trophies.
He was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan.
Always willing to make a bet, his friends knew him as “Emma” (Easy Money Mike Again).
Mike will be sadly missed by his spouse, Janine Fogleman of 23 years; two children, Kenneth (Bethany) Fogleman of Niles and Rikki Batson at home; one sister, Tonda (Tim Anthony) Hornsby-Cottrill of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Steve Butler of Marietta; a grandson, Corey Waggoner; and three nephews, Shad Mace, Jacob Cottrill and Amos Cottrill, all of Southeastern Ohio.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
