Mary E. Battista Mary E. Battista, 96, passed away March 27, 2021 in Berks Heim. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Battista in 1989. Born in Bellefonte, PA, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Barbara (Riglin) Kucas. Mary was the owner and operator of Special Dry Cleaners, Reading from 1947 to 2005. She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, Gregory L. Battista of Reading and Mark A. Battista in Australia. Also surviving are a sister, Frances Kucas of Bellefonte, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, George and Steve and by a sister Helen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Peter RCC, 322 S. 5th Street, Reading, PA 19602. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may pay their condolences on Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Gallman-Sonoski Funeral Home, 910 Chestnut St., Reading.
