Obituary for Anatol C. Bobrowsky

BOBROWSKY Mr. Anatol "Corky" Bobrowsky, age 90 of Seymour, beloved husband of the late Mary (Hudak) Bobrowsky, passed on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. He was born on November 10, 1920 in Oxford and was the son of the late Michael and Mary Bobrowsky. He was a communicant and usher at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Mr. Bobrowsky worked at Anaconda American Brass for many years before his retirement in 1982. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during World War II. Mr. Bobrowsky was a member for more than fifty years with the Great Hill Hose Company, Seymour and a member with the RFD and also a member of the Emil Senger, Post 10, American Legion in Seymour. Mr. Bobrowsky was an avid racing pigeon fancier. Mr. Bobrowsky is survived by his devoted children, Michael Bobrowsky and Mae C. Zwolinski and her husband, John; two beloved grandchildren, John R. Zwolinski and his wife, Shannon and Christina Zwolinski and her fiancé, Brian Crawford; and two great-grandchildren, Justin and Evan Zwolinski, all of Seymour. He also leaves three sisters, Lydia Wooster of Bethany, Jean Esposito of New Haven and Elizabeth Thomas of Oxford. In addition to his wife, his brother, Victor Bobrowsky and sister, Mary Dean predeceased him. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Interment with Military Honors in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
