Obituary for Jeffrey S. Russell
RUSSELL Jeffrey S. Russell, age 45, beloved husband of Julie Crosby Russell of Seymour, died April 3, 2011 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, with his family by his side following a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Born in New Haven on February 27, 1966, he was the son of James W. and Marilyn Miles Russell of TN. Mr. Russell was a life long resident of Seymour and was a1984 Graduate of Seymour High School. He worked as a Yard Receiver for the Oxford Paint and Hardware Co. for 13 years, until the time of his illness. Mr. Russell was an avid fan of all sports and was a member of the Derby B.P.O.E. Lodge 571. In addition to his parents and wife of 21 years, he is survived by his cherished sons, Michael James Russell and Nicholas Scott Russell, both of Seymour; a sister, Cynthia Allen and her husband, Brian of TN; a brother, Jonathan Russell of FL; mother-in-law, Cheryl Crosby "Grandma" of Seymour; also survived by his "girls" Karen, Deborah, Linda and Heather of Shelton; brothers-in-law, Mark and Tom Crosby and their families of Waterbury; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother James Russell Jr. Funeral services, MEETING DIRECTLY AT CHURCH, will be held on Thursday, April7, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Seymour Congregational Church, 45 Broad St., Seymour. Interment will directly follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, from 4 to 7p.m. in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia.
