Obituary for Shirley Jeanne Liptock (Stahl)
Shirley J. Liptock, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, John J. Liptock, Sr, passed away on October 1, 2022.
Born in Pine Grove, she was the daughter of the late George and Alma (Wise) Stahl. She devoted her life to caring for her family.
Shirley was a volunteer for Teen Challenge in the early '80's, was an avid seamstress, and extended her family caretaking skills to the Comite family.
She was the loving mother of four children: Kathleen (Kendall) Noble of Douglassville; Elizabeth A. Bradley of Nashville, TN; John J. Liptock, Jr., (deceased); and Steven A. (Lisa) of Shillington. There are eight grandchildren: Joseph, David, Joshua, Audriana, Julian, Tamika, Amy, and Ann; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was one of five children: John Stahl of Pine Grove; Carol Unger of Pine Grove; Dolores Yerger (deceased); and Gloria Brittian of Reading.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 12 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, with interment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. Francis Home. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
