Obituary for ANTHONY DELUCA

Anthony “Tony” DeLuca, 94, of Laureldale, passed away peacefully March 4, 2023. 

Born on November 11, 1928, he was a son of the late Nicola and Grace (Carabello) DeLuca. Tony was the husband of Irma R. (Cagnetti) DeLuca with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. 

Tony was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. He was employed by Arrow International where he worked for 26 years until his retirement in 1990. Tony loved spending time watching Westerns and listening to music. He also enjoyed cars and fixing various things around the house; Above all, Tony loved Italian food, especially made by his wife, Irma. 

In addition to his wife, Tony is survived by a daughter, Janet Meals, widow of Michael Meals; Grandchildren, Danelle and Ronnie, husband of Beth; Six great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are three stepdaughters, three step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; Brother, Nate DeLuca, husband of Donna DeLuca. 

Tony was predeceased by one son, Scott DeLuca; One step-son; Three brothers, Ronald, Richard and Bennie, and three sisters, MaryAnn, Josephine and Tilly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Holy Guardian Angels RCC, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, 19605. A viewing will be held one hour prior from 12:30 pm until the time of mass at the church. 

Burial will take place in Gethsemane Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tony’s name may be made to Holy Guardian Angels RCC, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605.
