Obituary for FRANCIS KONOPELSKI

Francis (Fidge) Konopelski, 89, of

Temple, passed away peacefully on Oct. 25th, 2017 in Berks Heim, where he had been residing since Feb. 2015. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet (Maess)

Konopelski.

Born in Reading, on March 27, 1928, he was the son of the late Louis and Theodosia (Shelak) Konopelski.

He was an Army Veteran of World War II and he served as a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Guardian Angels Parish, in Laureldale.

He enjoyed playing cards, golfing and

especially dancing.

He was a kind-hearted, gentle man; he loved people and always had a smile on his face.

He was co-owner of J&F Konopelski Meat Market with his late brother Joseph. They were famous for their Polish Keilbasa.

Francis is survived by six daughters: Linda Reiber,

companion of Thomas Gross, Frances M. Konopelski, fiancée of Leo Breton, Michele Bausher, wife of Daryl,

Marian Robidas, wife of Ted, Denise Konopelski, of

Huntington Beach, Calif., Elaine Bickel, wife of James; and two sons, Patrick M. Konopelski, husband of Lisa, Robert J. Konopelski, husband of Cindy, of Marietta ,Ga.; and two stepchildren, Christopher Delmonico, companion of

Andrea Appoloni, and Lisa Fry, wife of Daniel; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 11th, at Holy Guardian Angels Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery following the service. Friends may pay their

condolences from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berks Heim.
