Obituary for CYNTHIA W BADINGER

Cynthia W. (Mengel) Badinger, 73, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Friday April 21, 2023, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Hospital.

She was the loving wife of 50 years to Ronald P. Badinger.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Roland B. and Naomi R. (Wolfe) Mengel.

She was a 1969 graduate of Reading High School.

Cynthia was an avid reader, and loved cats and dogs. She enjoyed vacationing to Ocean City, MD, playing bingo, and testing her luck with the PA lottery.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Wendy Badinger, partner to Jerry Readinger, Fleetwood, and Wayne, husband of Nancy Badinger, Blandon and three siblings: Julie, wife of William Baeighkley, West Reading, Luke Mengel, Reading, and Sylvia, wife of David Black, New Castle. Three grandchildren: Jason Rank, Amanda Badinger, and Adam Badinger; one great-grandchild, Isabella Rank; and several nieces and nephews, also survive her.

She was predeceased by her son, Ward Badinger.

Services will be Thursday April 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Temple, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
