Obituary for Lloyd E. Wisner

Obituary - Lloyd E. Wisner, 96, of Maris Grove, formerly of Upper Darby, died October 24, 2023. Born in Camden NJ, Lloyd attended high school in West Philadelphia and Baltimore, and served in the US Navy during WWII.

 

After the war, Lloyd married Annamae Henzler of Upper Darby, and began a long career in the telecommunications industry working for Bell Telephone. Along the way he received his degree from Penn State and subsequently worked for all the phone companies as they merged from Bell to ATT and retiring from Nokia. Active in his Church as an usher, deacon and Sunday School President, Lloyd’s commitment to Aldan Union Church was steadfast. Lloyd was an avid reader, Phillies fan and model train collector.

 

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 75 years, Annamae, his daughter, Linda Wisner Willhite, 5 grandchildren—Laura Harmon, Kara Harmon, Andrew Willhite, Brenton Willhite and Emily Willhite—and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Donna Mackin and his granddaughter Sarah Harmon.

 

Service: Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington

Visitation:  10:00-11:00 am Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington

Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026

Contributions: in his memory to Aldan Union ESL program , 7 E. Providence Rd., Clifton Heights, Pa 19018, would be preferred
