Obituary for Mr. Robert P. Zeigler Jr.

Robert P. Zeigler, Jr., 101 passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Sprenkle Drive.

Robert was born on March 7, 1921 in York, son of the late Robert P. Zeigler and Lottie E (Amspacher) Zeigler. He was a printing craftsman and graphic designer, and retired from Printing Plate Craftsman in 1973. He was a member of the Conewago and the York Woodcarvers. He enjoyed and was very talented in woodcarving, painting and drawing. He was a lifelong member at St. Peters Lutheran Church and participated in playing the drums in the Sunday Orchestra for many years.

He was a loving husband and preceded in death by Mildred J. (Delp) Zeigler in which they shared 78 years of marriage together. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping and traveling, antiquing and attending art and carving shows.

He was also preceded in death by sisters: Geneva I. Myers and Margaret L. Fink, brothers: Gerald E. Zeigler and Kenneth W. Zeigler, Nephews: Barry Fink, Gerald L. Zeigler; nieces: Allegra Gleason and Fay Weaver.

Our beloved Uncle Bob is survived by his nephews: Ricky Zeller, Kevin Zeller, and Clair Delp; nieces: Christina Knaub, Melanie Tate, Cynthia Bernstein and Sharon Kuhn and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Services are tentatively planned to be held for Robert and Mildred on May 27th, 2023 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 947 N. George Street York PA 17404, time to be determined. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, 947 N. George Street York PA 17404 or to SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Sprenkle Drive, 1802 Folkemer Circle, York PA 17404.
