Obituary for Dorothy Brooks

Dorothy (nee Heneghan) Brooks, 81, a longtime resident of Drexel Hill, PA, died February 25, 2023 at Fair Acres.

Born and raised in Overbrook, she was a long and faithful member of St. Charles Parish in Drexel Hill. Through the years Dot had volunteered wherever needed. She worked on their Christmas Bazaar and volunteered in the lunch room. Happy and outgoing, she was proud of her Irish heritage and will be remembered as a loving mom and mom-mom. Dot worked in food service, retiring from Villanova University and had previously worked for Horn & Hardart and the Garrett House in the Terminal Square area. Dot enjoyed cooking, was an avid walker, gardener and reader. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas C., Survivors include her son, John (Carol) Brooks and grandson Tyler.

Her Memorial Service will be 11 am Wednesday, March 8, 2023, 11:00 am at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill. Visitation begins at 10:30
