Obituary for Isabel A. Murphy

Isabel Murphy, 98 of Upper Darby passed away on February 27, 2023.

Born on June 15, 1924, to the late Reginald and Elsie Ball, Isabel was a lifelong area resident whom many knew from her years of working at Weinberg’s in the men’s department. Isabel was also an active parishioner of 50 years at the Incarnation Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church in Drexel Hill.

Isabel is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, along with her loving husband Robert Murphy.

Isabel is survived by her children Jane Buddenhagen (Steve) of West Chester, PA; Bob Murphy (Karen) of Havertown, PA along with her 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday March 6th, 2023, from 10:00am-11:00am at the Incarnation Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church, located at 3000 Garrett Road in Drexel Hill. A communion service will start at 11:00am.

Interment will take place at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Isabel’s honor be made to the Incarnation Holy Sacrament Church.
