Susan Margaret Lewis, 73, of Leawood, KS returned to her Heavenly Father on December 1, 2022. Susan passed at Kansas City Hospice with her husband by her side. She died of pancreatic cancer that was recently discovered in October. We find solace in knowing she’s in a better place. Susan was born to John and Lena (Preston) Wolfe in Cambridge, MA on July 14, 1949.
Susan was a private person but valued her close relationships with family and friends. She was a privilege to know and love, who made an impression on everyone she met. She was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother. She was the thread that always held her family together. Susan strived to make others happy, was very generous and would do anything for anyone who asked. She dearly loved her two grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them. They were the light of her eyes. Susan’s love for her animals was evident to anyone who knew her. They weren’t just pets to her, they were her children and she treated them as such. She also had a huge passion for cinema, especially foreign movies.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stanley J. Lewis, her sons, Scott M. Lewis of Leawood, KS; Sean D. Lewis and his wife Nicollette of Shawnee, KS; her granddaughter, Brookelynn Reese; her grandson, Hunter Isak and her brother, Johnny Wolfe.
