Obituary for George Michael Yanick Jr.

George Michael Yanick, Jr., 45 of Lorain, entered the gates of heaven Friday, November 18, 2022, at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

He was born October 10, 1977, in Lorain to George M. and Nancy (nèe Toth) Yanick.

George enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved fishing, landscaping, music, adventures and excursions with his wife Tina, and helping others. George especially loved being a father and loved his son Hunter unconditionally.

Surviving is his wife Tina Yanick (née Grpcevski) of Lorain; son, Hunter Phoenix Yanick; father George Yanick of Lorain; sisters Jennifer Ruth of Elyria and Deborah Otero of Lorain. Along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Yanick (née Toth), his grandparents, Steve and Mary Yanick (née Yergovich), and brother Nathan J. Bublik.

Friends may call 4 to 8 PM on November 22, 2022, the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. His funeral service will be November 23, 2022, at 1 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
