Obituary for Mrs. Louise Rhoda Goudy

Louise Rhoda Beaty Goudy passed away peacefully into the arms of God on October 24, 2022, at 7:58 am at the Montgomery Hospice Casey House. She was born December 4, 1920, to Elmira Marilla (Steen) Beaty and Walter Ellsworth Beaty. Her brother Walter Beaty Jr passed away in 1996. Louise lived many years in Florida, Los Angeles California, Manchester Pennsylvania, Silver Spring Maryland, and Ballston Spa New York.

Louise raised three children, Barbara, Paul, and Charles Pugh, as a Single Mother. Six Grandchildren arrived from Barbara and Michael Skoldberg: Don and Stacy Skoldberg; Nadine and Paul: Jeffrey and Paul Pugh II; and Karen and Charles: Mark and Scott Pugh. Nine Great-Grandchildren (Amanda, Matt, Isabelle, Sophia, Jordan, Julia, Taylor, Annabelle, and Cassius) were joined by Two Great-Great-Grandchildren (Oliver and Addelyn). For seventy-six years, twenty offspring lives kept Louise busy and enriched.

Louise was a woman who loved God and was a member of several churches. She traveled with Missions to Jamaica and Israel. Into her 90's Louise was greatly assisted by her church, friends, doctors, relatives, her "Aspire Wellness Touch Care" Assisted Living Home, and at 100 years of age Montgomery Maryland Hospice.

Louise was an independent and strong-willed person. She survived the Great Depression and lost her mother at age 17. She could be determined, and just did it. Her family and friends will have many pleasant memories and miss her.

A service is planned to honor Louise at the Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, MD 20705. Family and friends will gather at 2:00 pm December 8, 2022 and a Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm.
