Obituary for Mrs. Patricia Ann Jasko

Patricia (Pat) Ann Jasko, age 90, of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. 

She was born on October 8, 1931, to the late Mary (Mamie) and Thomas McCoy. She was raised in Brooklyn and went on to work for the Phone Company back in the day, where she met the love of her life, Benjamin, who predeceased her in 2016.   She raised a family living in Long Island, NY; Palo Alto, CA; Huntington Beach, CA and then finally residing in Fairfield, CT for over 40 years.   Pat loved people, she had a way of making them feel special and excelled at her job as an office receptionist at Cambridge Research in the late 70’s and 80’s in Westport, CT then at the law firm Zeldes, Needle and Cooper in Bridgeport, CT.  She finally retired at the age of 81. 

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Jasko and Paul (Kate) Jasko, a daughter Susan (Fred) Pell and four grandchildren, Sarah and David Pell and Benjamin and Kyle Jasko. She is also survived by her siblings, Thomas McCoy (Arlene) and Mary Ann Dewees, several nieces and nephews and dear family friends Richard and Jeanne Pryor.

Words to describe her – kind, intelligent, funny, always rooting for the underdog.  She adored and was so proud her grandchildren, Sarah and David and Ben and Kyle.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by countless friends and family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM up until the time of the service.  Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824.  In lieu of flowers the family would ask a donation be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 455 Post Rd E, Westport, CT 06880.
