Obituary for Alfred L. Ludwig

Alfred L. "Buddy" Ludwig, Jr., 87, of Port Saint Lucie, FL, former longtime Delaware County resident (Media, Glen Mills, Milmont Park and Diamond Beach) died November 13, 2022 at his home in Florida. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was a graduate of John Bartram High School and the Phila College of Pharmacy. Buddy served in the Army National Guard and had owned and operated Buddy's Pharmacy on Island Ave. in SW Philadelphia, before retiring in 2003. Buddy enjoyed summers in Wildwood Crest and his home in Florida where he kept a 42 foot Silverton yacht. He was known for good food, good friends and good times. 

Survivors: include his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth (nee Ballerino) Ludwig; his son Mark Ludwig (deceased), his daughter, Karen (Tony) DiLello, his stepsons, James (Janice) Amalfitano (deceased), Joseph (Barbara) Amalfitano, Vincent (Lynn) Amalfitano, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson

Service: Funeral Service will be  11:30 am Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill PA  19026, with visitation at 10:30.

Entombment: Arlington Cemetery Monticello Mausoleum, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
