Obituary for Mrs. Viola I. Kroft

Viola I. (Crone) Kroft, 92, of York, passed away, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at SpiriTrust Lutheran on Sprenkle Drive in York.  She was the wife of the late Donald G. Kroft who passed away December 1, 2017.

Mrs. Kroft was born February 11, 1930, in York and was the daughter of the late Wilson and Bessie (Ruppert) Crone.

She was employed as a sales associate for Bon Ton, Burlington, J. M. Fields, and Super Shoes downtown York.   Viola truly enjoyed the loving care she received and friendships she made with the staff of SpiriTrust Village in York.

Mrs. Kroft is survived by her son, Donald Kroft, and his wife Mary, of York; two grandchildren, Erin Dacheux and her husband, Jonathan, and Christopher Kroft and his wife Phoebe; two great grandchild, Dalton Dacheux and Sadie Dacheux; her sister, Anita Lefever of York and her brother, Richard “Bill” Crone of Dover.  Mrs. Kroft was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Stonesifer, Ruthanna Smith, Judy Howard, Alverta Holstetter, Pauline Stiles, and Beatrice Crone and her brothers, John Crone, and Stewart Crone, Albert Crone, Ralph Crone, Edward Crone and Bruce Crone.

Her graveside service will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 18, 2022, at Prospect Hill Cemetery in York.  To join the family for the graveside service, please meet at the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance to the cemetery no later than 9:45 AM Friday.  Officiating at her service will be Reverend Philip K. Nace.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
