Obituary for Wilfred Dale Fontenot Sr.

Wilfred Dale Fontenot (Dale), 74, of Lafayette LA, passed away on October 28^th, 2022.

Dale enjoyed many hobbies, especially fishing, skeet shooting and woodworking.  He was a loving husband of 38 years to his wife, Sally Ann Provost, who preceded him in passing. Aside from being survived by three sons, William (Bill) Fontenot and his wife, Lorie, of Irving, TX, Robert (Bobby) Fontenot and Bryon Fontenot of Lafayette, LA., Dale also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Taylor Chauvin Elliot, Rylee Fontenot, Bynce Fontenot, Shallen Fontenot, and Ella Fontenot; 4 great grandchildren, Jayden Shamburger, Reece Elliot, Rendi Elliot, Hayes Elliot; a half-sister, Karen Fontenot Roy; and half-brother, David Manuel.  Also preceding Dale in passing were parents, Allen Manuel and Laura Mae Douget-Fontenot, and stepfather Stafford Joseph Fontenot.

 Memorial services will be held Friday, November 4^th, 2022, from 10 AM to 1 PM at Louisiana Funeral Services located at 108 Hardware Rd. in Broussard.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Hospice of Acadiana.
