Obituary for John C. Bradley

John C. “Jack”  Bradley, of Newtown Square, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, and Manorcunningham, Co. Donegal, Ireland, passed away at home on July 26, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. After many years of service to A&P and Acme Markets DC #1, #3, and #4, he was a real estate agent until he retired in 2009, when he completed his last transaction at 83 years of age. Always a dedicated and hard worker, he arrived in the US with $30 in his pocket on a Friday evening, and by Monday morning, he was landscaping in his new homeland. While he was a proud American citizen, his heart was always in Donegal. Devoted husband of the late Pat, to whom he was married 55 years, he is survived by children, Anne Bradley Mitchell (Tom), Marcus J. Bradley (Karen), and Trish Bradley (Tom Interrante), and grandchildren, Aileen, Thomas, Colin, and Deirdre Mitchell; Katie, Sean and Maggie Bradley; and Pierce and Shane Lockett. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Kathleen Bradley, of Manorcunningham, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mary Bradley, and siblings, Jim, Julia, Tommy, Cahal, and Maura. He deeply loved his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren. His humor, gentle nature, thoughtfulness, stories, advice, gardening tips, and love of poetry and prose will be so missed us all. He truly was the best dad and grandfather a family could ever hope to have. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 1, at 9:30am, at St. Anastasia Church, Newtown Square, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill. Donations in John’s name to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 5300 Chester Ave., Philadelphia, PA, 19143. www.toppitzer.us
