Obituary for John Wilson Adey Jr.

John W. Adey, Jr., 84, of Drexel Hill, PA, died July 20, 2022 at his longtime home in Drexel Hill. Raised in Yeadon, he was a graduate of Yeadon High and received his Bachelor's degree from Norwich University.

Commissioned as Lieutenant,  Jack served in the U.S. Army and Reserves. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of Bethany Collegiate Church. He owned and operated Adey's Exxon Station at the corner of Burmont & State Roads in Drexel Hill until his retirement in 2019.

Jack was an avid sports fan, loved Ocean City, boating and fishing. He will best be remembered as a loving family man, husband, dad and granddad.

Husband of the late Carolyn who died in 2004 and father of the late John W. "Jack" Adey, III, who died in 2019;  survivors include his daughters Cheryl Seidel (the late Kevin), Linda Stein (Harry), Wendy Moran (Jim) and Sue D'Antonio, siblings Barbara Ann Jones,  Gregory Adey, 10 grand and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be  11:00AM, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington Cemetery.  Visitation begins at  9:30AM
