Obituary for Mrs. Betty M. Wiltrout

Betty M. (Reifsnyder) Wiltrout, 87, of Rockland Township, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 in Keystone Villa at Douglassville. She was the widow of Reynold C. Wiltrout, who died on October 25, 2017, and whom she married on July 3, 1954.

Born in Reading, Betty was a daughter of the late Levi and Elizabeth (Eisenhauer) Reifsnyder and was a 1953 graduate of Reading High School. Betty worked as a key puncher at Dana Corporation for several years as well as a clerical person in the emergency department of The Reading Hospital. For most of her life, Betty was a homemaker, who took great pride in raising her family. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, crocheting and quilting and was a member of the Berks County Sewing Guild. Betty was Lutheran in faith and was a member of several area churches over the years. She will be deeply missed by her family. 

Betty is survived by her children, Rick C. Wiltrout, companion of Michele (Laity) Killian, Reading, Sherrie M. (Wiltrout), wife of Blaine W. Ammann, Shoemakersville, Ray A., husband of Sheryl A. (Heffner) Wiltrout, Mertztown, Perry L., husband of Heather M. (Marko) Wiltrout, Mertztown and Connie J. (Wiltrout) wife of Robert Mako, Moultonborough, New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren, Lisa M. Ammann, Taresea J. Ammann, Patrick L., husband of Nicole (Sciandra) Wiltrout, Pierce L., husband of Julie (Pescinski) Wiltrout, Alex M., husband of Kim (Worcester) Wiltrout, Sean A., husband of Alexis (Claus) Wiltrout, Lauren E. (Wiltrout), wife of Seth Winder, Kelsey Mako, Dakota Mako and Jeremy Mako; and 11 great-grandchildren, Lorelai, Joshua, Bryant, Ryker, Natalie, Landon, Jameson, Judah, Jensen, August and Tyler. 

Along with her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her siblings, Frank, Levi, George, Elizabeth "Sis", Anna and Mary.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor Betty's life will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Jeffrey J. Butz officiating. Interment will follow in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Rockland Township.
