Obituary for PATRICIA SUE SMITH

Patricia Sue Smith, age 72, passed away on June 14, 2022. She was born on November 19, 1949, to Edward and Elsie (Hawkins) Smith.

Born and raised in Des Moines, Pat graduated from Saydel High School in 1968. She held various jobs, but her primary role was caregiver to her mom and dad.

Pat loved reading, chocolate, puzzles, trivia, and animals. Above all else, she cherished her family and their time spent together.

She is survived by her 5 siblings, 3 nephews, 1 niece, and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
