Obituary for Maekalah Marlysia Haengkham

Maekalah Haengkham, born April 15, 2005 was called to Heaven May 23, 2022. Our beloved “baby” of the family. Although taken away from us so soon, she taught everyone around her how to love unconditionally during those 17 precious years she spent with us. We may not see her again in this lifetime but for certain if we strive to live as virtuous as Maekalah did, we will see her in heaven again. Waiting in heaven are: her great grandfathers, Bounleaum and Tanh. Alongside them as well is: her great grandmother, Nang. Maekalah is survived by: her mother, Manychanh; stepfather, Dion; sisters, Mally, May, Maddy and brother, Peyton. As well as: both grandparents, Southisom, Seng; great grandmother, Vene, and uncle, Soucksavanh Boutsomsi. Our family is so big that we can not name the seemingly endless great aunts, uncles and cousins. A special mention that she is the youngest one of our family to graduate to heaven. As she will be the one to help greet us when our time has come. May your afterlife be full of great music and dances with your favorite Thai singers. May it be full of joy and happiness while you wait for the rest of us to join you again. We will miss you more than anyone can imagine but our heart is full of joy that you are in a better place. We know that you’ll be there to greet us with your voice when it is our turn to pass on from this world.
