Obituary for Joseph Michael Smith

Obituary - Joseph M. Smith, 73, of Clifton Heights, PA, died December 30, 2021 at Lankenau Hospital. Born, raised and a lifetime resident of Clifton Heights, he was a graduate of  Clifton Heights' High School, class of '67, Joe served in the US Army Infantry in Vietnam. He had been employed for 40 years by the Postal Service, retiring in 2020. Joe enjoyed pro football and was a big Oakland Raiders fan. His spare time was spent tinkering and fixing, but he will be cherished and remembered as a devoted family man. Loving husband, dad and pop-pop were the only accolades he needed. 

Survivors: include his wife of  51 years, Frances (nee Varallo); his children: Dawn Bowes, Gabby Smith, Joe Smith II; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. 

 Service: Private Service was held January 5, 2022, at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington

followed by burial at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
