Obituary for William Farrer

William Henry Farrer, Sr., age 85, passed peacefully at home, on October 3, 2021.  

Born in Belmont Hills, PA, on January 1, 1936, William was the son of the late Harry Farrer and Mary (Turtle) Farrer.  William was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Jr., and sisters, Vera (Fragment) and Lorraine (Doggett).  

William was a Navy Veteran, worked as a milkman after his service, and eventually established his own small business as a dry-cleaning service.  Upon retirement, William and Jeannine moved to Shickshinny, PA where they were involved with the local church and made many friends.  William enjoyed home improvement projects, classic movies, cooking, golf, fishing and, later in life, painting.

Surviving William is his wife, Jeannine (Rogers); his children, William, Jr., Mark, and Wendy (Stumpo); grandchildren, Julian, Rebecca, Julia, Marco, Giancarlo, Luciano and Jamie. 

 

A graveside service will be held on October 18, 2021 at 11am at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.  Please meet at the office at 10:45 to proceed to the service.
