Obituary for Katherine D. McKay

 Katherine D. (nee DeCarlo) McKay, 81, formerly of Lower Merion, died October 2, 2021 at her home at Lima Estate in Media. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was a graduate of John Bartram High School and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. from Temple University. She served as Executive Director for the Pennsylvania Land Title Institute, retiring in 2005. With her sense of humor and welcoming presence, she and her late husband Daniel created a loving home where their sons' friends would often visit on their own. Their ability to share stories and listen when others spoke drew people to them.

Beloved wife of Daniel, who died in 2016, Survivors include her sons, David (Kim) McKay, and Keith (Lori) McKay; her brother, Robert (Linda) DeCarlo and 4 grandchildren: Oliver, Joshua, Lauren and Sara.

Funeral service will be 11 am on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd Drexel Hill.

 Visitation: begins at 10:30 am

Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
