Obituary for Mr. Dominick Julian

Dominick Julian, age 80, of Fairfield CT entered into eternal rest at his home on Thursday, July 1, 2021, with his beloved wife, Paula and his loving daughters, Deidre, Stephanie and Kara by his side. In his final days he was comforted with visits and shared memories from his sisters, many nieces, nephews, longtime friends, and in-laws.
Dominick, also known as Dom, Butch and most often Uncle Butch, was born September 18, 1940 in Bridgeport CT to the late Anthony F. and Lillian (Mihlbauer) Julian. He was raised in Bridgeport and attended Central High School until his service began for the United States Marine Corps. Dominick was honorably discharged Lance Corporal and was incredibly proud to serve his country. He returned to work at his family-owned business Anthony Julian Railroad Construction Company where he and his brothers became owners and after 71 years in business retired in 2017. Butch was a member of the Port 5 National Association of Naval Veterans. More than anything Butch loved spending time with his family and friends – on the water fishing, on the road traveling, or over lunch at "The Corner". He will be missed but always remembered.
In addition to his wife and daughters, survivors include his sisters; Lillian Duva, MaryJane Lovanio (Dr. Richard), Barbara Hragyil (Skip Bishop), his in-laws; Guido Picarazzi, Sr., Karen and Tom Bucci, Sr., Marty and Marie Flanagan, Mike and Claudia Flanagan, Kate and Paul Castello, and nieces and nephews of plenty!
The family is comforted to know Dominick will be joining those who pre-deceased him. His grandfather, Domenic Antonio Giuliani, his brothers; Sonny Julian (Lyda), Donny Julian, Ray Julian, his sisters; Betty Nieuwboer, Kay Lopatosky (Andy), Millie Cavaliere (Billy), Jean Picarazzi, many longtime friends, and his beloved dogs; Dusty, Crackers, Grady, Rosie and Sadie.
