Alan L. Romain, 88, of Lauderhill, Florida, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Hospice by the Sea,
Boca Raton, Florida. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane (Brown) Romain, who passed away in 2011.
Al was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 22, 1932, to the late John and Rebecca (Lobel)
Romain. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Elaine Dodek and Barbara Goldschneider. He is survived by
two sons, Rob (Nancy) Romain of Douglassville, PA and Doug (Pam) Romain of Parkland, FL, and one
daughter, Sue (Jim Machise) Brown of Valrico, FL. Al is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-
grandsons, as well as many extended family and friends. Al proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, Al began a long and successful career in the electrical contracting field in Philadelphia before retiring in 2007 and
relocating to Florida.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, September 4 at 10:30am at Coral Springs Funeral Home,
1420 N University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida, and on Saturday, October 16 at 11:00am at the Chapel at
Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Masks will be required at both services for
the safety of all attending. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Al’s memory to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Attn:

Burial will follow the Celebration of Life at Arlington Cemetery, and will be private for family
