Obituary for Betty A Brown

Betty A. Brown, 84, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, August 30th, at her residence.  

Born in Roedersville, on December 4, 1936, a daughter of the late Laura (Brown) and Walter Jones.

She was the wife of Harold "Hock" Brown.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill.  

She was a graduate of Pine Grove Area High School and was employed by local textile mills.  

Betty is preceded in death by her son Keith Brown, infant sister Betty J. Jones, sister Gloria Moyer and brothers Willis and Charles Jones, Sr.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Steven L. husband of Stacey, Schuylkill Haven; a daughter Christine L. Maurer wife of Joseph, Schuylkill Haven; a daughter in law Sharon Brown, Shartlesville; grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Tara and Ashley Brown; great grandchildren Chase and Collin Leibensperger and Landis and Kenzie Brown; a sister Shirley Fleischut, Friedensburg.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ on Summer Hill, Auburn on Friday, September 3 at 10:30 am with Pastor Kenneth McDowell officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held prior from 9:30 am until the time of the service.

Interment at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
