Obituary for Dorothy Dokla

DOKLA Dorothy Dokla, age 88 of Shelton, entered into eter nal rest on Wednesday October 27, 2010. Dorothy was born in Bortne, Poland on April 2, 1922, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Kwochka) Dokla. She became a proud resident of the Shelton community in 1958 and was an employee of Schick until her retirement. Dorothy was an ardent member of the American Russian Citizen Club in Shelton and the Lemko Club in Ansonia. Dorothy is the beloved mother of John Dokla and his wife Barbara, Joseph George Dokla, and Anna Piccolo. She is the beloved grandmother of Jason and Kevin Dokla , Kristin Dorosh and Brian Piccolo and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Antonia Cap, Helen Tichy, Amelia Valente, Stefania Savoyski, and brothers John and Michael Dokla. Dorothy is predeceased by sister Maria Dutkanicz. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. Parastasis service will be held at 6 p.m. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. for a Funeral Service at 9:30 a.m. in the Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church in Ansonia.
