Obituary for George M Boyadjian

George Boyadjian, 72, of Philadelphia PA passed away peacefully on July 17, 2021. 

George was born in Cairo, Egypt on January 27, 1949, the son of late Naomi & Morad Boyadjian.  He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Joseph Boyadjian; and his nephew, Mourad Habeshian.  George is survived by his sister, Marie Habeshian; his niece, Rose Esenwein and great-nephew Ryan. 

The family moved from Egypt to Philadelphia in 1971.  He was a proud member of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church and loved his Armenian community. 

Upon moving to Philadelphia he found a career with SEPTA.  He retired from SEPTA doing train engineering in 2004.  His family, his friends and career were a very big part of his life. 

If you met George you knew you were in for a good time because he was always the life of the party and made everyone laugh.  He held true to his family and friends which he always made sure were happy and well.  His infectious personality didn’t stop there because he had a positive impact on everyone that crossed his path.  There wasn’t a time he left a room that people weren’t laughing or having a good time. 

George is already terribly missed but will always be remembered for his smile, his sense of humor, his pure heart and the love he had for his family and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11 AM, at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church followed by interment at Arlington Cemetery. 

There will be NO viewing or visitation prior to services.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in memory of George Boyadjian to St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church.
