Obituary for Wendy S. Chladni

Wendy S. (Shearer) Chladni, 56, of Kutztown, died Saturday, May 28, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.  Born in Sellersville, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the late Karl D. Shearer and Henrietta H. (House), widow of Raymond O. Kuhns.

Wendy was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Class of 1983.  She also was a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, Allentown, where she studied Medical Billing and Coding. 

Wendy was employed with various agencies in Berks and Lehigh Counties as a direct support residential supervisor in the intellectual disability and mental health services field for many years.

Wendy is survived by sisters: Darlene J. (Kuryllo), widow of James H. Horne, Richlandtown, Bucks County; Linda L. (Shearer), wife of Thomas K. Noonan, Allentown; Diane L. (Shearer), wife of Lon R. Meisenhelter, Clearwater, Fla; Karla J. (Shearer) widow of Hobart Shean; Fleetwood, and Kim L. Shearer, Breinigsville. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  In addition to her Mother, Father, and Step Father, Wendy was predeceased by a daughter Rachel Virginia Chladni; two sisters: Barbara (Kuryllo) Knauss; and Stacey Rae Kuhns.

A graveside service to celebrate Wendy's life will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Hope Cemetery, 234 Church Lane, Kutztown, with The Reverend Arthur L. Hahn, officiating.
