Obituary for Mr. Jason B. Weaver

Jason B. Weaver, 94, of Richmond Township, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in the residence of his son Eugene R. Weaver, with whom he resided.  Jason was the widower of Alma K. (Ringler) Weaver, who died October 20, 2013.  Born in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Noah S. and Onea L. (Bare) Weaver.  A member of the Groffdale Conference of Mennonites, Jason attended the Fleetwood Mennonite Church, Fleetwood.  He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Weaver is survived by five daughters: Pauline R. (Weaver), wife of Ralph M. Martin, Thorp, WI; Anna R. (Weaver), wife of Rufus N. Martin; Elsie R. (Weaver), wife of Daniel Z. Brubacher; Susan R. (Weaver), wife of Lester S. Martin, all of Withee, WI; Vera R. (Weaver), widow of Ernest K. Newswanger, Kutztown; and two sons: Daniel R., widower of Betty Jane (Snyder) Weaver, Mertztown; and Eugene R., husband of of Edna K. (Newswanger) Weaver, Fleetwood.  Other survivors include one sister, Selestia B. Weaver, Elkton, KY; and one brother, Eugene B. Weaver, Orrstown, Franklin County, PA; There are 73 grandchildren; 231 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.  In addition to his wife and parents; Jason was predeceased by seven sisters: Lydia, Mabel, Alma, Myrtle, Esther, Nancy, and Margaret; five brothers: Milton, Harvey, Rueben, Rufus, and Raymond; also three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the residence of his son Eugene R. Weaver, 946 Fleetwood-Lyons Road, Fleetwood.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. from Fleetwood Mennonite Church, with Bishop Eli W. Burkholder, officiating.  Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
