Obituary for Mrs. Carol H. Mack

Carol H. (Scheirer) Mack, 84, of Rockland Township passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Arthur R. "Art" Mack, Jr., who passed away on September 26, 2016 and whom she married on August 25, 1956.

 

Born in Catasauqua, Carol was a daughter of the late Harry and Elsie (Wenner) Scheirer. Carol was a member of Hope Community Church, Fleetwood, where she and her late husband began and ran the food pantry for many years and was involved with many other church activities.

 

She was a graduate of Catasauqua High School and West Chester University. Carol worked as an Administrator for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., and in the same capacity for B.Braun Medical Inc., Bethlehem, until her retirement. She was an accomplished vocalist and musician. She was a member of the Bethlehem Choral Society and performed in plays at The Pennsylvania Playhouse and Allentown Civic Theatre. She also loved playing the piano. 

 

Above all, Carol adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and enjoyed watching them grow.

 

Carol is survived by her three children, Donald G. Mack, Parker, CO, Sheila J. (Mack), wife of Michael A. Sanchez, Aurora, CO, and Wendy C. (Mack), wife of Mark S. Fujita, Mertztown; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Kyle, Christopher, Ashley, Lyndi, Tanner, Kevin and Nicole; and 16 great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was predeceased by a son, Kevin J. Mack in 1982; and her siblings, Jerry, Roger and Joyce.

 

A memorial service to celebrate and honor Carol's life will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Community Church, 31 Lobachsville Road, Fleetwood, with Pastor Kevin Kanagy officiating. There are no calling hours. In accordance with current CDC guidelines, masks must be worn.

 

Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
