Obituary for Virginia McFadden

Virginia (Ginny) Shelley McFadden, 96, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2020.

Ginny was the daughter of the late James Shelley and Virginia Murray Shelley and grew up in Upper Darby, PA. Ginny graduated from Holy Child Elementary and High School and Immaculata College, magna cum laude, as an accounting major. She was a dedicated homemaker for many years and later worked as a secretary to the Springfield School District Superintendent, an administrative assistant at Saint Joseph's University and in the finance industry in structured settlements.

Ginny was a member of Holy Cross church for many years before moving to Palm Coast, Florida. She loved tennis and was an active member of the Idle Hour Tennis Club and the Players Club of Palm Coast. She was also a talented pianist and artist.

Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Donald F. Hanrahan and George McFadden. She was the mother of Carol Raymond, Cecile, Donald, John and James Hanrahan.

She was the cherished grandmother to Carmen and Matthew Rossi, Katherine Stockmar, Adrienne, John, and Justin Hanrahan and Caitlin Hanrahan Mundy. She was also great grandmother of Brian and Max Rossi and Brody, Brett and Maeve Mundy.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Monday, December 14, 2020 9:30am Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA 19064 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Burial Private
