Obituary for CHARLES T LEWANDOWSKI

Of Turtle Creek, age 81, died on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

Chuck was born in Pittsburgh’s Strip District on January 26, 1940, a son of Adolf and Martha (Lysakowski) Lewandowski. His father, Adolf, died when Chuck was a child and he was raised by his mother and stepfather, Andy Fabiszewski.

Chuck was the beloved husband of Judy D. (Organist) Lewandowski for 60 years.

Loving father of Charles T. (Diane) Lewandowski, Jr., Lori (Henry) Schultz, Jill Lewandowski, Thomas Lewandowski, Judy (Gary) Kunkel and Janet (John) Estocin.

Treasured grandfather of Dr. Charles Lewandowski, Ph.D., Christopher (Britnee) Lewandowski; Justin (Tiffany) Schultz and Marissa Schultz; Brooke, Paige and Christian Lewandowski; Olivia and Abby Kunkel; Michael and Erin Estocin.

Proud great-grandfather of Lydia Schultz.

Brother-in-law of Linda Organist.

Chuck is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

 

Chuck was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Mazur, and his brothers, Eugene (late Josephine) Lewandowski, John (late Anna Mae) Lewandowski and Joseph (surviving spouse, Mary) Lewandowski.

Chuck was a retired employee from Beckwith Machinery Co. with 40 years of service at both the Murrysville and Blawnox locations. Chuck loved to golf and he enjoyed rooting for all Pittsburgh sports teams, but especially the Penguins.

Mass of Christian Burial in St. Colman Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Chuck will be laid to rest in Allegheny Cemetery.
