Obituary for Mr. George Whitney Biggs

George Whitney Biggs (Whitney), age 83 of Wilton, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Meadow Ridge in Redding.  Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late George Pearson Biggs and Kathryn (Whitney) Biggs, he was raised in Southport and had been a Wilton resident for the last 20 years.  Whitney graduated from the Hill School, received his Bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School Of Law.  He was associated with Pullman & Comley until his retirement.  Whitney was a dedicated volunteer for numerous organizations notably Norwalk Hospital, Americares/HomeFront and served as an EMT for the Town of Wilton.  He was a proud 20 plus year friend of Bill Wilson.  Survivors include two beloved daughters, Kathryn B. LaBarge of Ballston Spa, NY and Laura Biggs and her wife Leslee of Fairfield; three cherished grandchildren, Katie and Carly LaBarge and Jacob Biggs; a brother, James Biggs and his wife Elinor of Southport and nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his grandson, John Pearson LaBarge.
