Fisher, Michael Hays Fisher, 63, of Pottstown, long time resident of the Kencrest Homes passed away December 31, 2020.

He was born in Philadelphia and was a gift to his loving parents, the late Milan John Fisher, Jr. and Janet Taylor Fisher. He is survived by his brother John Pedrick Fisher, John's wife, Jane, and his nephew Zachary Fisher. Michael lived with his loving family until age seven, and subsequently at the Pennhurst State School in Spring City until age 22. Since 1980 he has lived in community settings where he could be visited frequently by his family. He was part of the Kencrest family, where he lived most recently in a community home in Pottstown. Michael was blessed with unique gifts, in addition to his special needs.  He lived his life courageously despite his many afflictions.

He spoke with his passionate eyes and sweet smile that enabled him to create silent bonds and enduring memories with his family and caregivers.  He also had a reputation as an avid Eagles fan. Mike’s family and friends have cherished the joy that he has shared with us throughout his life. His courageous life and enduring spirit will continue to inspire us. We are grateful for the compassionate care that Michael received with the Kencrest family of dedicated caregivers over the years. Plans for burial will be announced at a future date.
